The Devi Mahatmyam repeatedly invokes the Divine Feminine as the power residing within all beings:
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु शक्तिरूपेण संस्थिता ।
नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः ॥
To the Devi who abides in all beings in the form of Shakti, salutations again and again.
Shakti, therefore, is not distant
She is not merely an external image upon which devotion is directed
She is the power within existence itself
Her Chosen One
And this is where the name finds its meaning.
To call oneself Her Chosen One is not to claim superiority, privilege or special status.
It is to acknowledge,
I am Hers
It is an inward declaration made visible.
I walk with Her.
I surrender to Her.
I carry Her within me.

108 is a number deeply woven into Indian spiritual traditions, particularly in practices of mantra, japa and sacred enumeration.
For Her Chosen One, the limitation is intentional.
Not everything needs to be produced endlessly.
Some things are meant to remain finite, intentional and meaningful.
